Welcome Friends!

I'm super happy you're here.

Why do you read?

To escape?

To find answers?

To heal, learn, procrastinate laundry?

All valid.

For me, reading is a cheap vacation.

A quick getaway with old friends from the comfort of my couch.

No airport security required.

And, when it comes to choosing a book? I do not mess around.

I’ll read the back cover, sure — Usually with one eye closed or while squinting like I’m defusing a bomb.

Because the second my anticipation turns into awareness, it’s over.

No butterflies? no tears? Ruined!

I read to feel things — exactly when the author wants me to feel them.

I started journaling when I was a kid.

(I confess, I needed a place to write down the boys I was going to marry, how cute my first name looked with their last, and how I despised Kourtney E., Grade 9 homeroom, for revealing Dumbledore died at the end of The Half Blood Prince).

Writing turned into reading, reading to blogging — the rest is history.

If you love books that linger, leave a mark, or break your little heart... you’re in the right place.

With a smile,
